The parenting brand, which helps parents navigate their child’s first four years, has added a podcast to its collection of parenting resources. The show is hosted by pediatric nurses and Moms on Call founders Laura Hunter, LPN and Jennifer Walker, RN, BSN.

With more than 20 years’ experience in pediatric care, plus eight kids between them, Laura and Jennifer are perhaps best known for getting babies and toddlers to sleep through the night. “For more than 18 years, we have equipped moms and dads to parent with confidence using proven methods that really work,” says Jennifer. “Now, we want to take parents behind the scenes to those times when Laura and I called each other every day to discuss the stuff we heard and saw and got asked. There are no stupid questions, but there sure are some interesting ones.”

Laura and Jennifer worked as on-call pediatric nurses when they came up with the idea for Moms on Call. They took after-hours patient calls for a busy pediatric practice in Atlanta that served over 9,000 patients. In their experience, they noticed that they were answering the same questions and concerns repeatedly because new parents were all wondering about the same things. Laura and Jennifer wondered why there was no straightforward, practical resource available to answer these questions that every parent had. So, they decided to create one. Using their experience as pediatric nurses and moms themselves, they created a simple and easy-to-follow guide that addressed parents’ most common curiosities and concerns.

Laura added, “We’ve seen some stuff in 27 years of pediatrics and we’re laying it all out for parents. We’ve lived through some stuff too, from pregnancy to handling your adult kids, and every stage of between. We believe in parents and our new podcast is another way for us to meet parents where they’re at and help them better understand their little ones and enjoy the parenting process.”
