Wondery will be the first podcast streaming service in the United States to deliver podcasts in Dolby Atmos.
Dolby says that with With Dolby Atmos podcast creators can place sounds in a multidimensional space that creates an experience “so rich and lifelike, it transports listeners into the story.”
“Dolby Atmos elevates audio storytelling by immersing listeners into the story for a better listening experience,” said John Couling, Senior Vice President, Entertainment, Dolby. “We are excited to help transform Wondery content and the podcast industry with the inclusion of Dolby Atmos.”
“The audio landscape is evolving quickly, and listeners are growing more accustomed to podcasts that push the limits of how stories are told , ” said Marshall Lewy, Chief Content Officer of Wondery. “Shows like Blood Ties and Jacked give us the opportunity to leverage Dolby Atmos to showcase the incredible sound design and innovate for our listeners.”
Wondery titles now available in Dolby Atmos: B_lood Ties, Jacked: Rise of the New Jack Sound and Iowa Chapman and The Last Dog:_
Additionally, Wondery will launch upcoming mini-series and weekly podcast series Against the Odds in Dolby Atmos in the coming months.
