New Yorker journalist Patrick Radden Keefe is back with a special bonus episode of “Wind of Change”. Two years ago, Keefe followed up on a rumor that the Scorpions 1990 song was actually a Cold War CIA conspiracy.
Revisiting Wind of Change was set in motion when the Scorpions were set to perform not too far from New York City and Keefe attended the show. Throughout the episode he reflects on the last time he saw the German metal band perform live.
“I’m reminded again that whatever you believe about the origins of the song, and whether it’s true art or a CIA psy-op or just a catchy metal ballad, it has this power that is undeniable,” said Keefe.
This bonus episode of “Wind of Change” was released to raise money for UNITED24 - a global initiative to support Ukraine.
