Historically women’s work is underappreciated and the business of country music is no outlier in this respect. Hosted by self-described country music outsider Jack Peterson Wildwood Flower will take a chronological look at 13 women from the 1920s and early 1930s who shaped the sound we know today.
A trailer and an introductory episode from Area Code Network are available here as Peterson describes how he came to country music through 90s rock and how he realized he had a gap in his musical knowledge that he aimed to fix. The first official episode will launch on June 4th.
