More from the Cumulus/Signal Hill study. 28% of the 600 people surveyed say they listen to podcasts every week. Of that group, 32% say they listen for more than 6 hours every week, spending 5.5 hours listening to their favorite podcasts.
The number one category for podcast listeners according to the Cumulus/Signal Hill study is News and Current Events (47%), followed by Comedy (42%) and True Crime (42%) followed by Pop Culture (40%) and Sports (30%).
