The New York Times reports on two Wallace Shawn plays that were adapted into podcasts, The Designated Mourner and Grasses of a Thousand Colors, and the roles are acted by past Broadway performers of these same roles including Wallace Shawn himself.

They are directed by longtime Shawn collaborator André Gregory with music and sound by Bruce Odland.

Mourner is about the dissolution and betrayal of a marriage, while Grasses is a cautionary tale about food and sex and the Times says they are “beautifully rethought for the ear.”
