Criminal Productions and the Vox Media Podcast Network announced they have hired Rob Byers as fulltime Technical Director. Byers had been Director of Broadcast and Media Operations at American Public Media.
Vox Media acquired Criminal Productions in November last year. Founded by Phoebe Judge and Lauren Spohrer, it has launched three podcast franchises: Criminal, This Is Love and Phoebe Reads a Mystery.
As part of the Vox Media Podcast Network (VMPN), Criminal Productions will more than double its staff, starting with the hiring of Byers. It is also looking to hire two producers, an Associate Producer, and a Supervising Producer.
