Vox Media announced the acquisition of Cafe Studios, the podcast-first publisher co-founded by former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara. Cafe publishes eight podcasts including their flagship Stay Tuned with Preet.
Vox Media has four mergers or acquisitions since 2019: Epic, the film, television, audio, and production studio; Coral, a commenting platform; and merged with the publisher of _New York _Magazine while continuing to expand the Vox Media Podcast Network with shows like Unexplainable, and Recode’s Land of the Giants.
“Preet and his team at Cafe have built a successful podcast studio with a compelling perspective — and an equally impressive community of devoted listeners,” says Vox Media Chairman, CEO, and co-founder Jim Bankoff.
