Tindle Media Group is the latest UK company to acquire a ten-percent stake in podcast discovery platform Podcast Radio amidst plans for international expansion. The announcement was made Wednesday during the Podcast Movement Evolutions conference in Las Vegas.

Tindle owns four radio stations in the UK and Ireland, as well as 23 local and regional newspapers. They join Britain-based Nation Broadcasting in investing in the three-year-old network. The station runs a 24/7 curated stream of curated international podcasts with on-air advertising and sponsorships on DAB radio in the UK and streaming.

Danny Cammiade, Tindle Media Group CEO, said, “With some of the most listened-to local radio stations anywhere in the British Isles, we have a strong history in providing content which engages listeners. That is why our investment is a natural extension for our company. We look forward to seeing Podcast Radio grow and make a real difference both in the UK and the international market.”

Podcast Radio plans an expansion into the US market in 2023, after a partnership with New York’s KMG Networks. Podcast Radio Director Paul Chantler commented, “With KMG Networks, we are close to announcing our first partnership with a major U.S. broadcaster, which will see us launch in several radio markets in North America. Nation and Tindle are supporting us to do this and more in 2023.”
