The Association of the U.S. Army is releasing four new podcasts in May on topics ranging from owning your own business to deterring Russian aggression to financial fitness for Army families.

“Army Matters” series is an episode focused on veteran-owned businesses. Available May 2, this podcast features Kevin Ryan, owner of Service Brewing in Savannah, Georgia. A 1996 West Point graduate, Ryan served for eight years, including in Iraq, before leaving the Army in 2004. He spent several years working at his father’s health care management company, but he set his sights on a brewery after getting hooked on the home brewing kit gifted to him by his fiancée.

Another one of the shows will feature Maj. Gen. Douglas Sims, commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division, who will talk about how the division builds strong leaders and its current mission to reassure NATO allies and partners in Eastern Europe.

On May 16, a new podcast focused on financial fitness for military families will drop. It will feature Maria McConville, spouse of the Army chief of staff, Alexandra Grinston, spouse of the sergeant major of the Army, and other experts.

On May 23, the podcast Warfighter will go live and feature an interview with retired Col. Jesse Johnson, author of Warfighter: The Story of an American Fighting Man. In Warfighter, Johnson, one of the most decorated living American veterans, recounts his remarkable career spanning 40 years of conflict, from the jungles of Vietnam to the deserts of Iran and Iraq, according to a description of the book.
