Human Intelligence, America’s eviction crisis and the Stonewall uprising are the topics for three new shows now available from WNYC Studios. Here are all the details.

From Radiolab comes “G,” which explores the terrain of measuring, explaining, and just plain talking about human intelligence. The six-part series kicks off with the story behind a little-known fact: more than a million IQ tests are given to American children every year, but in the state of California, the tests are essentially banned for use on African-American students. Upcoming episodes will explore the ethics behind genetic intelligence screenings, legalized forced sterilizations, and the bizarre story of a man who stole Albert Einstein’s brain.

On the Media presents The Scarlet E” – a special four-part series examining America’s eviction crisis. Part 1 – available today – probes the causes and cures of this national epidemic and tackle the myths that surround and exacerbate the issue. The series also charts America’s racist housing history and features a blend of data, commentary, and first-person narratives from individuals and families across the country who have and continue to experience the daily realities of eviction.

The Sound of Pride: Stonewall at 50 – New York Public Radio’s multi-platform experience dedicated to commemorating the 50th anniversary of Stonewall uprising. WNYC, WQXR, WNYC Studios, Gothamist, and The Greene Space will feature an array of special radio, podcast and live event programming that captures the history, force, spirit and voices of LGBTQ movements over the past five decades.
