Sincerely, X from TED with Sarah Kay: Kay interviews a ghostwriter who gets paid to write eulogies, wedding vows, and work emails for his clients, and who believes we’re all a work in progress and that he’s helping people along their journey. Roads and Kingdoms’ The Trip with Nathan Thornburgh: Continuing with the celebration of Anthony Bourdain, Thorburgh profiles the history of Lost Creek Farm, a once booming vegetable and livestock farm in the early 1900s that went unoccupied for several decades until Mike Costello and Amy Dawson began restoring the land to its former glory. (Monday, 7/1) 5. Making a Killing hosted by Bethany McClean: In a conversation with Eliza Griswold, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Amity and Prosperity: One Family and the Fracturing of America, Bethany helps us understand where the controversy lies in fracking and why there are so many people determined to stop it. Wisdom From the Top from Guy Raz, best known for How I Built This, the first person to have three podcasts on the Top 20 chart: This week Raz sits down with the CEO of Mastercard, Ajaypal Singh Banga, who shares his unusual leadership philosophy. (Tuesday, 7/2) 7. LGBTQ&A from The Advocate magazine, hosted by Jeffrey Masters: This week, Jeffrey interviews John Cameron Mitchell, the writer and star of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and new musical podcast, Anthem: Homunculus, now available on Luminary. (Tuesday, 7/2) 8. Celeste & Her Best with Celeste Barber: On this week’s episode, Celeste chats it up with Gary Janetti, the Executive Producer of the original hit comedy, Will and Grace. (Tuesday, 7/2) 9. Sworn by Up & Vanished: This week Phillip Holloway focuses on “proof of innocence” and explores DNA evidence, the roads to exoneration and post-conviction victories, and life after prison.
