The folks at Amazon are noticing how consumers are swarming into the podcast space. This announcement was buried amongst the flurry of Amazon announcements this week. And it’s great news for the podcasting world.
Under the headline “New Alexa features that make your home simpler, smarter, and safer,” we dug up this tidbit of information that will make transition listening much easier for anyone who uses an Alexa device.
“Soon, Alexa will sync with your favorite podcast and on-demand audio apps – if you’ve started a podcast using the Spotify, SiriusXM, or iHeartRadio app on your phone, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off on your Alexa devices when you get home. We’re also adding the ability to navigate podcasts by time frame and topic to make it even easier to get to the content you want.”
