In this new world of masks and social-distancing, it can often seem like there’s an invisible gulf between friends and even family members.
So in Movies While They Sleep a new movie podcast from two brothers, Matthew and Mitchell McCleary, they watch movies together and talk about them after their wives and children go to bed.
From Matthew:
“We launched because we needed to connect as brothers.
We started this podcast in February because, after nearly a year of living through the pandemic, we realized we were not prioritizing time spent connecting with each other as brothers. We couldn’t visit each other and talking on the phone just never happened. So we decided to start a podcast when we realized we were both spending a lot of time each week watching movies after our wives and kids went to bed. Our goal is not to give film reviews or critiques, but to apply the themes and stories of these movies to our daily lived experiences.”
They’ve released six episodes currently focusing on new releases like the four-hour Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, Minari, and Nomadland.
They invite you to follow them on Instagram.
