Spotify and Google understand how important it is to be in the podcasting space. Both companies have big booths set up inside the vendor hall at Podcast Movement this year and are showing off their podcast products to eager podcasters.
iHeartRadio, Westwood One and PodcastOne are also part of the 2019 event. iHeart, inside the vendor hall, has headphones set up around its booth for people to listen to iHeart podcasts.
Westwood is outside the vendor hall with seating for people to relax and a small booth for podcasters to go in and pitch their shows.
PodcastOne has the most creative booth at the event, one that attendees just have to stop at. PodcastOne is showing off its brand new hosting product, LaunchPad Digital Media.
At the LaunchPad booth the company has a pen full of puppies from a loacal pet store and they are giving away beer. Puppies and free beer are certainly hard to pass up.
Day One also featured a fired drill during the second session of the day. Thousands of people were asked to leave the Rosen Center Hotel “due to an emergency.” Ten minutes later everyone was allowed back in and the show continued without incident.
