Scripps’ podcast player Stitcher, which the company bought in 2016, saw its Q1 revenue increase from $15.1 million in Q1 of 2019 to $17.1 million this year.
Scripps EVP/CFO Lisa Knutson said listening has bounced back to near-normal levels, with a midday spike thanks to shelter-at-home rules. She believes Stitcher is “well positioned to emerge as an even stronger brand.”
