Spotify, which has been elbowing its way into the podcasting space by spending millions of dollars on podcasting companies, is also working on a podcast friendlier app.
According to Bloomberg the tech team at Spotify is testing a new version of its app that gives podcasts more prominence. The goal is to improve discoverability. Bloomberg reports that tabs at the top of users’ libraries display the words “music” and “podcasts” in a large font, making podcasts more prominent and accessible than they are now.
Spotify is already the seond most popular app for podcast listening behind Apple.
