Following the much-publicized removal by publishers of “troublesome” episodes of television shows and early books by Dr. Seuss, Spotify has deleted 42 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience after signing him for over 100 million in 2020.
Spotify provided no explanation for the removal of the episodes. Four episodes with Chris D’elia, who was accused of sex with a minor, have been removed and so have episodes with Gavin McInnes, Eddie Bravo, Alex Jones, and Milo Yiannopoulos.
But according to Digital Music News Rogan knew when he signed the deal that some episodes would be targeted for removal. “There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform,” Rogan said, per DMN. “And I was like, ‘OK, I don’t care.'
