It made him so mad he cut a video about it on The Podcast Editors Club Facebook page. A member posted a note asking if someone would edit his podcast for free. Steve didn’t take kindly to that and here’s why…
Here are Steve’s goals for the Podcast Editor’s Club:
- Elevate the perception that podcast editing is a valuable service.
- Spread knowledge that improves our services.
- Help everyone find paid work if they want it.
It’s obvious the poster asking for free help does not fit into that business model. Steve’s post and video rant met with a lot of applause.
By the way, for those who may not know, Steve Stewart is probably the most respected podcast editor in the industry today.
Steve’s Podcast Editor’s Club Facebook page has over 3,700 members.
