The Ledger-Enquirer from Columbus, Georgia reports that high school senior Laura Kate Holden started a new podcast where she interviews professional females in STEM fields - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Laura is part of a club called GEMS (girls in engineering, math, and science) and the club was scheduled to meet female STEM professionals at a dinner setting until COVID happened and the event was canceled.

“Once that happened, I was trying to scramble to find ways how we can still hear the stories of these incredible women,” Laura Kate told the Ledger-Enquirer, “and so I started a podcast, and I had a lot more free time, and so I decided to learn what RSS feeds meant and how to link my Spotify and my Google Podcast together.”

Since launching in November, she’s talked to a brain researcher, a marine biologist, an engineer that works on planes, and more.
