The Verge is reporting that Spotify is disbanding its founding podcast studio and laying employees off. There are about 15 employees at the studio and the last day the studio will operate is January 21st.
The studio produced Dissect and Chapo: Kingpin on Trial.
According to The Verge fired employees will receive two months’ severance. Some employees were reassigned.
Studio head Gina Delvac was fired.
