PRX Welcomes Four New Board Members

Jene Elzie of Athletes First Partners, Rima Hyder of FactSet, Tanya Jones of Aya Global, and Claudia Palmer of WGBH in Boston.

PRX CEO Kerri Hoffman said the four new board members are forward-thinking leaders across media, tech, business, and beyond. “Their insight and deep expertise will assist us as we not only build a bold future for audio, but as we continue to develop the next generation of public media creators and listeners.”

Jene Elzie is Chief Growth Officer for Athletes First Partners with more than two decades of experience as a global sports and entertainment executive. Prior, Elzie served as Vice President of International Marketing for The National Basketball Association (the NBA), driving the league’s audience growth internationally, including in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Elzie has also served as Vice President of Commercial Development for the NBCUniversal International Television Group and as Vice President of International Sales and Strategic Planning for Comcast.

Rima Hyder is the Vice President of External Communications at FactSet, a global financial data and technology company, where she created the firm’s first global media and investor relations strategy. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Hyder has also served as the Head of Investor Relations for both Energy Future Holdings and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where she led the company’s successful initial public offering.

Dr. Tanya Jones serves as President of Aya Global, a philanthropic advisory practice. Jones has also served as Portfolio Manager at The Barr Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in New England with a focus on human, natural, and creative potential. There, Jones led the foundation’s community health and women’s portfolios in East Africa and India. With a commitment to international development, Jones has also led initiatives at organizations such as Pathfinder International.

Claudia Palmer is Chief Operating Officer at WGBH in Boston, a leading public broadcaster via radio, television, and online for the region and the largest producer of PBS content for television and digital platforms, including Nova, Frontline, Masterpiece, Arthur, Molly of Denali, and Antiques Roadshow. Palmer has also served as Chief Business Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Reuters, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at EMI Music Publishing, and as Vice President of Business Development at The North Face.
