Techcrunch has a regular series called “How I Podcast” that talks to some of their favorite podcasters about the equipment and software they use to make podcasts.
Their latest entry is from producer Rose Rimler of the Science Vs podcast from Spotify/Gimlet. Like almost everyone else in the last year, she had to switch to home recording to make her show.
She uses a Zoom H6 recorder and a Sennheiser MKE600 microphone that she says is good enough that she doesn’t need to go into a closet to record. When talking to guests she recommends interviewing them over a computer app while using their smartphone to record.
