Podtrac released their rankings of the top 20 podcast publishers for March. They found that 18 of the top 20 publishers saw an increase in US monthly audience, however, the global unique streams and downloads did not increase since February.
Other key findings include:
- The average US Unique Monthly Audience for the Top 10 publishers was up 11% month-over-month and up 4% over March 2020.
- Global Unique Streams & Downloads increased for the Top 20 publishers by 11% from February and was flat over March 2020.
The top four didn’t change from February, as it was still iHeart, NY Times, NPR, and Wondery leading the pack. However, PRX overtook Barstool Sports to move up to the number five position while Barstool tumbled all the way down to number eight.
