The new podcast is Prostate Cancer Uncensored and is being launched by ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer this month in honor of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. It will feature different series and focuses, the first of which will put a spotlight on sexual side-effects.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer among American men, and one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among men. The prostate gland is crucial to the functionality of the male reproductive system, hence prostate cancer can have serious implications for a man’s sexual health.
“Four out of five prostate cancer patients struggle with poor sexual function after treatment,” said ZERO CEO Jamie Bearse. “When there’s an impact on sexual health, the stigma related to prostate cancer can be amplified. This series shines a light on these topics to help men know that they’re not alone.”
In the debut episode of the first series, Bearse is joined by Emmy Award-winning NBA analyst and host Glenn Consor. Consor – a prostate cancer survivor – talks candidly about his experience of sex after prostate cancer.
The first series of Prostate Cancer Uncensored will air monthly through December 2019. Episodes are available via multiple podcast platforms. For more information, visit zerocancer.org/podcasts.
