TechCrunch reports that Kayak co-founder Paul English launched a podcast discovery app called Moonbeam for iOS and Android. The app has personalized recommendations like Podz, but it also allows users to select and share clips as well.
“Podz is one approach for discovery, but I think that there needs to be a lot of people working on this problem,” English told TechCrunch. “One thing that I think differentiates Moonbeam from Podz is that we have human editors.”
There is an incentive for user-created clips as other users can send them tips for their work, a feature that recently made its way to Twitter.
