Pod Save America, Live at The Greek Theater will take place at 8 p.m., August 17, to benefit four organizations at the forefront of the fight to protect the vote across America. The benefit is part of Crooked Media’s Vote Save America initiative, an extensive platform to register and engage voters around progressive policy ideas and candidates.
Pod Save America, Live at The Greek will feature performances from comedian Amanda Seales, Los Angeles-based rock duo Best Coast, and Jim James, acclaimed solo artist and frontman of My Morning Jacket, with additional acts and special guests to be announced. Emmy-winning journalist Jemele Hill will co-host.
“If you don’t come to the Greek and support these amazing organizations, you basically hate democracy. Didn’t the Greeks create democracy? We learned that in school, right? Or maybe it was that movie 300? Either way, don’t disrespect them in their own house,” said all of the Crooked Media founders at once.
Through their ticket purchases, attendees will be supporting voting rights organizations with a history of driving impact and awareness around voting rights, including vote.org, Election Protection, the National Redistricting Foundation, and Think Social Impact.
