Patreon, the platform where people pay monthly fees to interact with creators and is home to bonus content and interactivity with thousands of podcasters, posted a blog about their new Creator Policy Engagement Program.
The purpose of the new policies is to keep things safe and healthy for creators and users alike.
Their policies will go over:
Teen Creators: How to keep them from being exploited in any way
Health, Hygiene, and Consumables: Creators can’t give away food or drinks to their patrons
18+ Creations (Mature Themes): Essentially, any nudes need to be artistic in nature
Merchandise Trademark and Copyright: An update of their help policy
**Dangerous Organizations (Criminal Pasts): **People who have been released from prison are allowed to be creators
