The NY Times announced their Fourth Annual Student Podcast Contest for middle and high schoolers. Students ages 11 to 19 attending middle or high school anywhere in the world can participate in the contest.
The rules are that the podcast has to be an original podcast five minutes or less with appropriate language and no use of copyrighted material.
They have links to abundant resources to get kids started as well as providing an extensive faq explaining what a podcast is, how to make one, and how to make your podcast stand out.
Judges will be from the New York Times podcast team as well as from Learning Network staff members, professional podcasters, and educators from around the United States.
The contest is free to enter as is the use of the Learning Network.
