The Podtrac monthly chart has become a back-and-forth battle between NPR and iHeartRadio.
In September, NPR, with 6 more shows than it had in August, jumped ahead of iHeart with a total of 151,375,000 downloads. That is 5,000 fewer downloads than it had in August but still enough to take the top spot on the chart.
iHeart’s 268 shows were downloaded 147,1230,00 times in September, down from 154,840,000 in August. iHeart had 10 more shows in September than it had in August, according to Podtrac.
PRX was third in September, as it was in August.
