Military.com reports on a new seven-episode series of the NPR show Rough Translation that aims to improve military/civilian relations and explores how divided military personnel can feel from civilians in social circles and what we can learn about it.
The first episode called “Home/Front” is available now and opens with a new soldier’s experience wearing his uniform to a restaurant and encountering the phrase “thank you for your service” seven times at his meal and realizing there was a divide between the civilian and the military.
