News Podcasts Dominate


As the latest Podtrac chart showed yesterday, the news category is extremely popular, with The Daily, NPR News Now and Up First were the top three shows in June. That popularity has translated into revenue for the category, according to the latest IAB report.

According to the IAB the news category has 22% of the advertising revenue. Cemody is next with 17%, followed by Society & Culture at 13%.
