Pineapple Street Studios, Crooked Media and Spotify have joined forces on a new investigative podcast, _Wind of Change, _inwhich New York Times-bestselling author and New Yorker investigative journalist, Patrick Radden Keefe, explores a rumor he heard from a source within the CIA: The CIA was behind the 1990 international hit, “Wind of Change”, released by prolific heavy metal band the Scorpions.
The eight-part series follows Keefe’s search for the truth, and is the result of a ten-year investigation that relies as much on the little known histories of government collaboration with legendary jazz artists Nina Simone and Louis Armstrong, as it does on conversations with current and former spies.
