We Are As Gods debuts on Thursday, September 29 exclusively on Audible. The podcast arrives shortly after the release of documentary feature We Are As Gods from documentary film distributor Greenwich Entertainment and publisher Stripe Press, which opens in select U.S. and Canadian movie theaters and debuts on all leading on demand TVOD services (including Apple+ and Amazon’s Prime Video) in early September.
Producer Jason Sussberg said: “In college, I stumbled across a ragged copy of the Last Whole Earth Catalog in a used bookstore. To a 20-year-old, it looked like an artifact from the 60s, but it felt strangely futuristic. That early encounter with Stewart Brand’s thinking began a fascinating journey learning about Stewart’s multifaceted life. David and I spent three years filming and recording with Stewart and his colleagues, diving into the archives, building relationships, and spending time with him around the world. With an embarrassment of riches of original film and archival materials, we have created a unique audio experience that explores every twist and turn of Stewart’s amazing story. We’re excited to take our storytelling expertise and apply it to the podcasting medium for the first time."
