Cadence13, an Audacy company announced the launch of That Thing I Do, a weekly podcast hosted by close friends actor Darren Criss and Grammy-nominated bassist Este Haim all about their friends and the things they do.
The cover art for the show is a curiously fig leaf covered nude Adam and Eve style choice of cover art and the pair let you know right away in the trailer that their content is not squeaky clean “G” rated as Criss says “well Este we’re F**N doin it” in reference to starting a podcast together.
Also in the trailer, Criss says he always wanted to be a musician and Haim says she always wanted to get more into acting so “we’re definitely a yin and yang”. The two have extremely polished “Entertainment Tonight” radio voices and it’s no surprise that they’re industry professionals with a deep well of friends that they’ll tap as guests on the show and explore the things they do.
Entertainment Weekly was the exclusive launch partner for their trailer.

Este Haim is the Grammy-nominated bassist for her eponymous band HAIM with her two sisters. HAIM won the 2021 Brit Award for International Group. She is an NME Award winner (“Best International Band”), a World Music Award nominee, and an MTV Award nominee. HAIM’s album Women in Music Pt III (Expanded Edition) is out now.
Darren Criss is an Emmy and SAG award-winning actor, musical artist, and songwriter. His roles include American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace and Glee. He is also the executive producer and creator of the new Roku Original series Royalties in which he stars and provided the original songs for. Criss’ newest single, “f*kn around” is out now.
