The Chicago Tribune reports White Sox broadcasters Len Kasper and Jason Benetti are launching the official podcast of the MLB White Sox, Sox Degrees, and they’ll talk to anyone who loves the Sox in a play on the “six degrees of separation” concept.

As of this writing, their first episode hasn’t launched but they talked about who their guests have been, and they include not only baseball players like Liam Hendriks but people who love baseball like actor Bob Odenkirk.

“The idea is we will interview people who are as attached to the White Sox as anyone on the planet, and we’ll talk to people who are ‘six degrees away’ from the White Sox," Kasper said. “I think the criteria would be someone who genuinely likes baseball. But I think if there’s a White Sox connection — like Bob grew up in Naperville, his grandfather lived near old Comiskey, he went to games here — we’ll get into that stuff.”

His dream guests are retired announcer Vin Scully and Paul Westerberg of the Replacements, and his interview style is to approach guests from the personal as well as what he calls the “Larry King big picture view.”
