The Public Radio Exchange (PRX) has partnered with Project Brazen and Goat Radio on a new podcast that explores a mysterious medical illness experienced by some workers at the American embassy in Cuba.
The Sound: The Mystery of Havana Syndrome will offer eight episodes dedicated to the bizarre situation that plagued Embassy workers, starting in December 2016. The program will be hosted by Nicky Woolf, an award-winning podcaster and former reporter for the Guardian Newspaper.
“Nicky Woolf is the master of taking audiences on wild journeys in search of the truth,” Bradley Hope, the co-founder of Project Brazen, said on Tuesday. “In The Sound, he shows just how deep the rabbit hole goes in this extraordinarily fascinating and important story.”
“This show has been incredibly exciting to report and, at times, incredibly scary,” Woolf said in a statement. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
The Sound will be distributed across all popular podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Pocket Casts and Apple Music.
