New Hampshire Public Radio’s latest podcast takes a look at what happens when society confronts the limits of scientific knowledge, through one of the most enigmatic diseases of the 21st Century: Lyme disease. The show is called Patient Zero.
Patient Zero is a multipart podcast series from NHPR, which has been in development for more than a year. Host Taylor Quimby knows what it’s like to experience the disease. In the summer of 2017, Quimby had his own bout with Lyme disease, an experience that sent him searching for answers he turned from reporter to disease detective. “Lyme disease is really complicated and controversial.
