KNPR.ORG from Nevada reports on a new 8-part podcast series about the 27 Native American tribes that call Nevada their home. It’s called Native Nevada, and it will be a new series on the KNPR Discussions podcast.
Though they were the first people here, the cultural and political issues impacting indigenous people in Nevada have been overlooked for decades, but as their numbers have grown, so has their economic and political power.
This series is made possible, in part, by the financial support of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, and the host of the show, Richard Boland, and two of the producers come from native tribes as well.
