The Dickinson Press of North Dakota announced that the Dickson Police Department released the first episode of their podcast Off the Cuff with Dickinson PD hosted by Detective Sgt. Kylan Klauzer to form closer ties with the community.
The show will feature conversations about current and former cases as well as community relations in Dickinson, North Dakota.
“There are other agencies that are out there doing (their own) podcasts, but the big one out of the gate for us (was), ‘What are we going to talk about? How do we want to go about this?", Klauzer said.
“We (will) try to bring a… humanistic element to it,” Klauzer said, adding, “… The more you talk to someone and the more you’re able to hear somebody speak, it kind of helps you understand them more. From the police department side of it, I think with the trends from across the country and people kind of yearning to know more about their agencies in their community, for us, this is a way to jump on that.”
