Polygon and the Vox Media Podcast Network launched Galaxy Brains, a new entertainment podcast where comic hosts Dave Schilling and Jonah Ray ask the big questions they’ve always wanted to know about pop culture.

Per the trailer, Galaxy Brain asks life’s big questions or the biggest questions you have after watching a tv show or movie like “does Godzilla represent our dads?” “We expand on our galaxy brain till our expert tells us we’re right or questions our sanity,” they say in the trailer.

Each week on the show, Schilling and Ray over-analyze, question everything, and arrive at a new revelation with help from an expert guest, from comedians to creators to actual scholarly authorities.

Galaxy Brains finally offers the opportunity to expose my wildest, most unhinged opinions about pop culture,” said Dave Schilling. “I’ve been screaming about how Godzilla is actually a metaphor for fear of intimacy for years now, and I’m excited to finally have a microphone to share these conversations with the world. I apologize in advance for all the minds I’m about to blow.”

The first two episodes of Galaxy Brains are available now. The first one is “Justice League,” an episode about a full breakdown on what makes Zach Snyder’s take on Superman superior, and “Mighty Ducks,” a chat about reboots, revivals, and post-modern reinvention. Special guests include screenwriter John August and the Criterion Collection’s Godzilla expert Steve Ryfle. Additionally, new episodes will be published weekly on Thursdays.
