Professional bird photographer Scott Bourne has launched Avian Beauty—the Bird Lover’s Podcast. Each episode is three-minutes and includes education, inspiration, and tips for bird watchers. Each week, Bourne focuses on one species, such as the northern cardinal or bald eagle. He offers a few facts about the bird and includes an audio clip of the bird’s calls.
Bourne’s love of birds and birding ties into his job as a professional bird photographer. It’s the first podcast he’s hosted that isn’t directly tied to photography or technology. “This is a real departure for me,” said Bourne. “I’m used to hosting tech or photo shows, but after doing more than 1,000 podcast episodes on those topics, I decided I’d turn to a show about my other passion—birding.”
