Cumulus/Westwood One and Leon Neyfakh’s Prologue Projects has released a new show called 5-4, which takes an irreverent look at the U.S. Supreme Court’s past.
Each episode focuses on a pivotal case in which the Justices make one of the most important decisions in recent memory – dissecting it from every angle and tearing it apart.
The first episode, available now, tackles Bush v. Gore.
Bush v. Gore is certainly vulgar, irreverant, and juvenile as well as intellectually dishonest and factually incorrect. Its vibe completely obliterates what could have been a useful exercise in correctly diminishing the unwarranted aura surrounding the court. A much better podcast is A More Perfect Union.
