Netflix is getting into the podcast game with their Twitter announcement of an official Stranger Things prequel series called Surviving Hawkins starring Maya Hawke’s character from Season 3, Robin Buckley, who worked at Scoops Ahoy at the Starcourt Mall.
They’ve posted a trailer to YouTube and the credits say that the show is voiced by the actress from the show, Maya Hawke, and written and directed by Lauren Shippen known for Marvels and the Bright Sessions.
The tagline says “The first Stranger Things podcast and a monster you didn’t see coming - Hawkins High.”
The series premiere is June 29 with new episodes weekly.
