iHeartPodcast Network has premiered a new true-crime series called Hit Man which follows the real story of Lawrence Horn, an engineer at Motown records who was behind some of Motown’s greatest hits by the Supremes and the Jackson 5 — and the peculiar circumstances surrounding the murder of his ex-wife, son, and friend.

The day Tiffani Horn’s mother, brother, and a family friend were found murdered, her father, Motown engineer Lawrence Horn, had a solid alibi — he was on the other side of the country. And while the multi-state surveillance and wiretaps helped build a case, it wasn’t until detectives stumbled into a book called Hit Man: A Technical Manual for Independent Contractors, that police suddenly had what they called “a blueprint for the murders.”
