Studio Ochenta is a new multilingual podcast consulting and production studio launching this September. The Paris-based studio aims to bridge the audio gap for listeners overseas by translating, adapting, and producing podcasts in English, French, and Spanish.
The studio has two services: Ochenta Productions offers consulting and production services while Ochenta Originals produces 10-minute podcasts, at eight episodes a season.
Programs will be produced in three language versions with targeted advertising powered by global podcast hosting platform ACAST.
“I’ve been working with producers in Paris for four years now, and have seen first-hand how these amazingly talented productions are limited because of a language barrier. We live in a world where every television show is subtitled in dozens of languages on services like Netflix. Audio should have that same accessibility. My goal is to help make that happen with Ochenta," said studio representative Lory Martinez.
This fall, American podcast giants iHeartRadio and Wondery Media will launch translated versions of their hit podcasts.
