Spotify continues to spend money on podcasting. The creators of HBO’s Room 104 and Netflix’s Wild Wild Country Mark and Jay Duplass have signed a deal with the streaming company to create original podcasts.
The Duplass’ join Michelle Obama and Joe Rogan who are also on the Spotify team exclusively.
Deadline was first to report on Mark and Jay Duplass where they said, “We are incredibly excited to partner with Spotify for our first foray into podcasting. Also terrified because making a truly engaging narrative podcast seems really, really difficult. Was this a mistake? Maybe we should pull out of this deal before they announce?”
