We’re thinking about making this a regular series now that it’s clear podcasting is in the news nearly every day now.
This time The Boston Globe jumps in the podcasting pool with a lengthy article called: "How The Podcast Juggernaut Took Off." The piece focuses on the $700 million ad revenue expectation by 2020, the podcast to TV storyline of course, and ease of use with the improvement of smartphone technology. The critical point in the piece states that the business model of podcasting is not solid.
