Most of the IAB Podcast Upfront Day 2 lineup was focused on companies promoting their existing shows with key stats and videos from their stars. However, there were a few major new shows announced including one from Metallica.
Highlights from the second day of the IAB Podcast Upfront include:
Meredith: People magazine is launching PEOPLE in the 90s, which looks back on the greatest moments in the decade.
ART19:
Announced the launch of The Metallica podcast, an eight-episode miniseries produced in partnership with PopCult and launching this fall that will focus on The Black Album.
Art19 announced they’ve added six existing shows to their network True Story hosted by Tig Notaro and Cheryl Hines, Obscure from Michael Ian Black, Never Not Funny from Jimmy Pardo, No Fun by Jen Kirkman, The Todd Glass Show, and ID10T from Chris Hardwick.
Additionally, advertisers can request custom musical ads from the hilarious Off Book: The Improvised Musical Podcast.
Rooster Teeth:
New Shows: Gen2Gen from Actors, YouTubers, and longtime friends Matthew Espinosa and Erik Griffin will launch later this year.
