Luminary offers all listeners a one-month free trial of Luminary Premium, with a monthly subscription of $7.99 following the first month, for U.S. subscribers. Here’s the roster of episodes just released.

New releases featured on Luminary this week include:

  • The AM Archives from Lauren Shippen: This sci-fi series picks up where hit podcast The Bright Sessions left off. The original series followed a group of therapy patients with supernatural abilities as they uncovered the secrets of their therapist, Dr. Bright. (Wednesday 5/1)
  • Anthem: Homunculus: The next two episodes of John Cameron Mitchell and Bryan Weller’s Anthem – that includes appearances by Glenn Close, Cynthia Erivo, and Patti LuPone – will debut on Monday, continuing Ceann’s story. (Monday 4/29)
    • Luminary listeners can get caught up on the first two episodes of Anthem: Homunculus on Luminary today.
  • The Axe Files: From David Axelrod, former senior advisor to President Barack Obama, comes The Axe Files, a series of revealing interviews with key players in the political world. This week David will talk life, politics, and acting with Bryan Cranston – formerly of Breaking Bad and currently starring in Network on Broadway (Monday 4/29).
  • Deep Background with Noah Feldman: Every story has a backstory, even in today’s 24-hour news cycle. In Deep Background, Harvard Law School professor and Bloomberg View columnist Noah Feldman will bring together a cross-section of expert guests to explore the historical, scientific, legal, and cultural context that help us understand what’s really going on behind the biggest stories in the news.   • Guys We F****d from Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson: Hailed as changing the way society thinks about female sexuality, Guys We F***d continues to pave the way toward a healthier outlook on sex.   • Hannibal Buress: Handsome Rambler: Hannibal Buress’ show will make its Luminary debut this week. Hannibal is on the road, and he’s taking you along for the ride.   • Karamo: If you’ve seen Queer Eye you know that Karamo Brown’s onscreen appearance is your cue to break out the tissues. This week Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown interviews friend and fellow Queer Eye castmate, Antoni Porowski. (Wednesday 5/1)

  • Locked Up Abroad from Wondery: What does it feel like in the split second when you realize you’re about to be locked up in a foreign country – possibly for life? In Locked Up Abroad, host Jim Clemente (Real Crime Profile) brings you firsthand accounts from people who lived this nightmare, starting with Billy Hayes, subject of the Oliver Stone movie Midnight Express.     • Luminary listeners can hear the first episode of Note to Self, where Manoush revisits the ongoing debate regarding the effect of increased screen time on our ability to reach deep levels of comprehension. (Monday 4/29)
  • Now What? w/ Arian Foster: Follow Arian as he explores himself through conversation with a wide variety of people and topics ranging from current events to unexplored regions of our universe.   • On Second Thought with Trevor Noah****: With his new podcast On Second Thought, Trevor Noah challenges himself – and his listeners – to explore unfamiliar angles, embrace differing viewpoints, and celebrate the contradictions that make the modern world both bewildering and exciting. On his second episode, Trevor will host New Yorker writer Eliza Griswold to discuss religious extremism and the Sri Lanka Easter Sunday attacks. (Wednesday, 5/1).
    • Luminary listeners can already hear the first episode of On Second Thought with Trevor Noah where Trevor discusses Tiger Woods’ Masters comeback.
  • The Passion Economy: From Adam Davidson, the creator of Planet Money. The economy is bananas, even scary. But some people are thriving, and we’re going to figure out how. This week Adam interviews Coss Marte, founder of ConBody, who went from drug dealer to personal trainer. (Monday 4/29)
